Answer

A mild cervical headache typically improves within 3–7 days with proper rest and care, though some cases may take 2–3 weeks to resolve completely.

Cervical headaches arise from tension or stiffness in your neck muscles and joints, often due to poor posture, prolonged screen time, or stress. The pain radiates from the neck to the back of your head and sometimes to your forehead. Most mild cases respond well to conservative treatment without medication.

At home, apply a warm compress to your neck for 10–15 minutes three times daily, maintain good posture while sitting, take short breaks every 30 minutes if working on a computer, and perform gentle neck stretches. Avoid sleeping on your stomach and use a supportive pillow that keeps your neck aligned with your spine.

See a physiotherapist if your headache persists beyond one week, worsens despite home care, or is accompanied by numbness, tingling, or arm weakness.
