Pins and needles feeling after back muscle injury

Question about pins and needles feeling after a back muscle injury.

I recently had an injured muscle in my back, due to poor lifting… It has been treated and seems to be almost 100%. I am however finding that I get a pins and needles feeling in that area every now and again. Is this a good sign or a bad sign?”

Answer:

Do your pins and needles radiate down into your legs? Or just in your back? If they radiate down your legs then it is usually a sign that there may be still some inflammation around your nerve roots and/or disc impingement. In that case you should see a physio for further treatment. It’s important that you continue exercises to train core stability and strengthen your back and core muscles to prevent further recurrence of back pain and injury.
